2006. Cefa, Romania, 17th -23rd July. We ran our first iBats workshop in Romania at a remote fishing village on the Romanian/Hungarian border, training nine fantastic volunteers from the Romanian Bat Protection Association. Slide show.
2006. Rousse, Bulgaria, 8th-14th November. We met up in the beautiful city of Rousse with representatives from the Nature Park Roussenski Lom, The Green Balkans and Institute of Zoology, Bulgarian Academy of SciencesBulgarian Bat Research and Protection Group to plan the next iBats project in Bulgaria for 2007. 2007. Zoological Society of London, 26th March-13th April. Abigel Szodoray-Paradi from the Romanian Bat Protection Association gained a prestigious Cambridge University Scholarship to come and analyse the data gathered from iBats Romania from 2006. Slide show.
2007. Cefa, Romania 15-18th May. We met our colleagues from the Romanian Bat Protection Association again in Cefa to report on progress from their efforts over the past year and to make plans for 2007. Slide show.
2007. Tabachka, Rousse, Bulgaria 22-24th May. We ran our first iBats workshop in Bulgaria in the remote village of Tabachka near Rousse with colleagues from the Nature Park Roussenski Lom, The Green Balkans and Institute of Zoology, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Bulgarian Bat Research and Protection Group .
